Overview
In September of 2016, Joe Hopkins, an attorney and successful entrepreneur, developed the idea to form a company to help companies monitor their legal bills and catch any overcharges or non-compliance. Over the course of a career spanning the last four decades, he had seen the billing practices of the legal industry firsthand after reviewing countless bills he received in the course of general business, M&A, and real estate transactions. As a lawyer himself, he recognized a clear trend: these bills were becoming progressively more egregious. Joe invited Ryan Loro to join the company as president soon after.
Over the next two years, the company continued to scale, acquire clients, and establish proof of concept. It was at this time, in the summer of 2018, when Ryan reached out to Dan Schneider, a long-time business partner, to help take the company from a garage band to a headliner. Dan had founded the industry-leading cost savings consulting firm, SIB Fixed Cost Reduction, in 2008, and built it into an organization which has reviewed over $5 billion in spending to date, including for many of the world’s most recognized corporations. Dan officially joined LegalBillReview.com in November 2018 and brought his knowledge of scaling spend management and cost savings operations.
