About the Role

The Director, Regulatory Operations will lead the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role will oversee the regulatory operations function and provide strategic guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Develop and implement regulatory operations strategies, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Lead the regulatory operations team to ensure effective and efficient management of regulatory submissions, licenses, and permits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of regulatory operations with business objectives
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for regulatory operations
• Identify and mitigate regulatory risks and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations
• Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry trends, and implement changes as needed
• Develop and implement training programs for regulatory operations staff
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for regulatory operations services
• Analyze key performance indicators and metrics to measure regulatory operations performance and implement process improvements

Requirements

​

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in regulatory affairs or operations, with at least 3 years of leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, laws, and guidelines
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
