Sr. Director, Legal (Corporate & Commercial)

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Legal (Corporate & Commercial) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a senior legal leadership role, with a strong background in corporate and commercial law.

Responsibilities

​

• Provide strategic legal guidance and support to the organization on corporate and commercial matters, including but not limited to, corporate governance, M&A, joint ventures, contracts, and commercial transactions.
• Lead and manage a team of lawyers and legal professionals to provide high-quality legal services to the organization.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve business objectives and mitigate legal risks.
• Collaborate with senior management, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of legal strategies with business goals.
• Manage external legal counsel and vendors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
• Develop and manage legal budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of legal services.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Drive process improvements and implement innovative legal solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

​

• JD or equivalent law degree and admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior legal leadership role.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the organization's business goals and objectives.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with ability to lead and motivate a team of lawyers and legal professionals.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
