Sr. Director, Legal (Corporate & Commercial)
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Legal (Corporate & Commercial) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a senior legal leadership role, with a strong background in corporate and commercial law.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal guidance and support to the organization on corporate and commercial matters, including but not limited to, corporate governance, M&A, joint ventures, contracts, and commercial transactions.
- Lead and manage a team of lawyers and legal professionals to provide high-quality legal services to the organization.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve business objectives and mitigate legal risks.
- Collaborate with senior management, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of legal strategies with business goals.
- Manage external legal counsel and vendors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
- Develop and manage legal budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of legal services.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive process improvements and implement innovative legal solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- JD or equivalent law degree and admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior legal leadership role.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the organization's business goals and objectives.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with ability to lead and motivate a team of lawyers and legal professionals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
