Contract Manager

Robert Half is partnered with a nationally respected corporation with HQ in Cincinnati seeking a Contracts Manager OR Contracts Counsel. The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of recent experience handling all aspects of construction contracts. Familiarity with drafting, redlining, and negotiating construction contracts is required! Responsibilities: 

• Review and approve Customer Credit for installation/construction contracts, including negotiation of custom payment terms when necessary.
• Ensure that customers receive all documentation required (e.g. New Vendor Packets, COI with necessary endorsements, W-9, etc.). Respond to customer requests for any other documentation required outside of contracts.
• Educate new salespersons on the Contracts Process.
• Assist salespeople with job-specific Customer Portals.
• Assist AR with the collection on Installation/Construction invoices and lien waiver preparation.
• Work with the President to prepare and modify acquisition agreements and related documents.
• Prepare Warranty Documents upon completion of jobs.
• Review Bid Documents.
• Secure Payment/Performance Bonds as required.
• Work with outside vendors to preserve Mechanics’ Lien Rights on jobs when necessary.

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of related experience in legal document drafting and contract negotiations
• Strong understanding of the common legal aspects of contracts including construction law, insurance, limitations of liability, indemnification, payment and liens, etc.
