Legal Staff Assistant ( Onsite in San Diego ) ( Full-Time ) 

Location: 

Onsite in the San Diego office

Salary: 

$42K - $44K base Salary

Must Haves: 

  • 1+ years of Legal office experience
  • High level of motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask, successfully manage and prioritize various demands daily, and take direction from support staff and attorneys. 

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Legal office experience
  • High level of motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask, successfully manage and prioritize a variety of demands daily, and take direction from support staff and attorneys
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize a heavy workload
  • Practical oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with databases and data entry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support as directed
  • Opening new matters/files
  • Assist with submitting client invoices
  • Review and verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required. 
  • Assist with the submission of vendor bills and check requests
  • Ability to handle a high volume of bills per month
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems
  • Manage and update data using Excel spreadsheets
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned
