Contracts Manager, Consumer Health
Description
Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented and motivated Contracts Manager to support our healthcare technology efforts on contracting matters. In this role, you will partner with your clients to develop, market, and distribute cutting-edge products and services. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and enjoy working hard, being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Key job responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate technology development statements of work (SOW) and other contracts on an as needed basis, including amendments and addenda to our master agreements and SOWs
- Identify key risks/gaps in underlying contracts and recommend changes to mitigate risk
- Respond promptly, accurately, and crisply with minimal supervision to business requests for legal advice and escalate appropriately where required
- Develop and maintain: contract templates, training materials on contracting, confidentiality, company policies, standard operating procedures for contracting processes and track associated metrics
- Support the continuous improvement of contract templates and processes impacting our legal team and the businesses we support
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of contracts management, transactional paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
- In-house contracts management experience is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many simultaneous workstreams, clients, and projects under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
