Legal Personnel Specialist

The Legal Personnel Specialist is an individual who has experience with juggling multiple work streams and has the ability to keep meticulous records. The Legal Personnel Specialist will report to the Sr. Legal Personnel Manager primarily and Legal Personnel Director would oversee both.  

Primary responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct orientations and manage all onboarding duties for lateral associate and counsel hires including maintaining records and coordinating cross-departmentally on arrival logistics.
  • Manage the secondment administration process.
  • Manage status changes (arrivals, department and office transfer processes) and keep personnel records accurate.
  • Support the Legal Personnel Director and Sr. Legal Personnel Manager with the administration of the Visiting Lawyer Program.
  • Support the Legal Personnel Director and Sr. Legal Personnel Manager with the attorney caregiver leave process.
  • Support the Legal Personnel Director and Sr. Legal Personnel Manager with AWP administration.
  • Support the Legal Personnel Director and Sr. Legal Personnel Manager with annual associate and counsel compensation.
  • Support the Legal Personnel Director and Sr. Legal Personnel Manager with the attorney evaluation processes.
  • Support senior members of the Legal Personnel team on special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of 5-8 years administrative experience, preferably in an HR capacity and preferably in a law or professional services firm;
  • Proficient in Word and Excel. Outlook, Vi Eval, Lotus Notes a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and to work under pressure, including overtime, in a deadline-driven environment.
  • This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role.

Compensation

$95,000- $105,000. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
