Wood & Long is a family law firm dedicated to providing creative legal solutions for families throughout central Ohio. Founded by attorneys Jessica Wood and Chelsea Long, our practice focuses exclusively on divorce and family law, offering comprehensive legal support in areas such as spousal support, property division, child custody, parenting plans, child support, and protection orders.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Legal Office Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our legal practice. The ideal candidate will be a strategic professional with exceptional organizational skills and experience managing operations and fostering a thriving workplace environment. This role will be responsible for administrative oversight, financial and operational management, playing a pivotal role in our continued success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Operations: Lead and inspire our administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage the firm's financial accounts, including accounts receivable and payable, reconciling accounts, ensuring financial stability and accuracy.
  • Systems Management: Maintain a top-notch office environment by overseeing technology and IT systems, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee physical space management, lease negotiation, and act as a liaison with the landlord.
  • Payroll and Compliance: Handle payroll processes, prepare tax documents (W2s, 1099s), and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Marketing and Communications: Manage website updates, marketing efforts, and social media content.
  • Insurance and Risk Management: Ensure timely insurance renewals and maintain appropriate coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proven office management experience, preferably in a legal or professional services setting
  • Strong financial management, capable of managing accounts and contributing to budget planning
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills, with a natural ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
  • Work Schedule: Onsite Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
