Director of Legal Affairs & Compliance - Holland, MI

Summary

The Director of Legal Affairs & Compliance will oversee and manage all legal matters and Compliance programs for the organization. This role will provide strategic legal guidance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and guidance to the organization on all legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Oversee and manage all legal and Compliance matters related to the organization's operations.
• Collaborate with executive management and other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and manage the organization's legal budget and ensure cost-effective management of legal resources.
• Manage and coordinate relationships with outside counsel and other legal service providers.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to legal and Compliance matters.

Requirements

• JD Degree and admission to the Bar in the State of Michigan.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
