Job Description: Contracts Analyst

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, is seeking a Contracts Analyst to assist the Contracts Department in providing contracting and subcontracting assistance to ensure that Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) procurement and contracting processes operate in accordance with Federal regulations and contract requirements. The Contracts Analyst provides contract and subcontract administration support to PFS program managers, business development personnel, department heads and other corporate staff.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Contracts Analyst must be able to work independently and with guidance and will be responsible for assisting with government contracts, commercial contracts/subcontracts, and other related documents (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, MOUs, ATPs, and teaming agreements). The Contracts Analyst provides support from pre-award through post-award contract management and ensures appropriate documentation is entered into a record keeping system in a timely manner.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • The negotiation and management of PFS’s contracting efforts with counterparties that may include:
  • Commercial firms  
  • Federal government  
  • Non-profit organizations  
  • Assists in the identification and management of contract terms from proposal stage to project close-out, including timely submittal of required contract reports (e.g., Service Contract Labor Hours, Joint Venture reports, ad hoc government-requested reports, etc.)
  • Reviews solicitations (RFPs/RFIs) to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Supports (as needed) the preparation and submittal of price/cost proposals
  • Coordinates with program managers to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled
  • Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices, when required
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices
  • Stay current on the changing landscape of government laws and regulations as they relate to government contractors in order alert management in a timely manner of possible business impact
  • Participates in special projects as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) to five (5) years of government contract administration experience, but candidates with equal experience in a government contracting environment in either delivery or operations will be considered
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build collegial relationships with colleagues and client representatives
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and make deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) highly desired
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship indefinitely
  • Ability to obtain a public trust

Work location is flexible if approved by the company except that position may not be performed remotely from Colorado.
