We are looking to hire an CONTRACTS MANAGERreporting to our Pittsburgh, PA office. The main responsibilities of this role include the preparing and revising of construction contracts, monitoring compliance with contract terms, in coordination with management and other stakeholders. The position may require travel as needed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contract Managers handle all contracts for a company to ensure executives and employees understand and adhere to the terms agreed to by both parties. 
  • Manage the contract process to support company goals
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
  • Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate policies and legal requirements
  • Conduct regular contract reviews to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to mitigate and address risks involved in contacts to resolve or address any contracts when necessary 
  • Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records of all contracts and contract related documentation
  • Provide timely review, and response to contract inquiries regarding contacts matters and resolution of conflicts, terms and conditions or risk in contracts that arise
  • Liaise between internal teams and external parties to ensure clear communication during the contract negation process plus during the project execution phases of contacts
  • Ensure and monitor contract renewals and extensions are processes timely
  • Issue guidance to project teams based on contact guidance and contract risk
  • Conduct contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to establish terms that serve the interest of the Company to comply with Company risk parameters
  • Administer proper contract execution risk strategies to avoid legal issues that may arise from time to time
  • Prepare contract drafts and amendments using Company templates aligned with Company legal guidelines
  • Utilize contract management software and AI tools (similar to Docusign and DocumentCrunch) to manage ongoing negotiations, signed contracts, and timelines for review, execution and renewal. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification as a Professional Contracts Manager ( CPCM) or similar demonstration of the required competency in the field
  • Solid understand of contracts legal terminology relating to Construction and Engineering contracts law and other specific business regulations of the Construction and Engineering industry
  • Proven experience in contract management or a similar role with the Construction and Engineering industry is highly beneficial
  • The ability to manage multiple contracts and responsibilities meeting deadlines in a efficient manner
  • This comprehensive role demands a blend of legal acumen, strategic negotiation skills, the ability to work in Teams with various stakeholders effectively, with a meticulous attention to detail. A Contracts Manager must also possess excellent organizational abilities, with strong communication skills to manage contracts that support the goals of the Company
