Associate Director - Legal Transactions
Job Summary
The Associate Director - Legal Transactions will be responsible for managing and coordinating legal transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure timely and efficient execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk in legal transactions
- Manage vendor relationships and outside counsel to ensure effective and cost-efficient delivery of legal services
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on legal transactions and contractual matters
- Develop and maintain legal templates, clause libraries, and other documentation to ensure consistency and quality of legal documents
- Analyze and report on key metrics and trends related to legal transactions to inform business decisions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- JD or LLB degree
- 5+ years of experience in a legal transactions role, preferably in-house
- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software and other legal technology solutions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
