Our client ("the company") is a rapidly expanding insurance carrier based in Atlanta, GA, known for its innovative insurance solutions and dynamic growth trajectory. The Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Product & Compliance Legal to support the continued success and development of our product offerings. The attorney will play a critical role in guiding product initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing legal aspects related to product launches and ongoing product management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal guidance and support for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on and manage legal aspects of product launches, including the evaluation of regulatory changes and their impact on existing and new products.
• Collaborate closely with product development teams to identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and industry standards for all products.
• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and resolution of compliance issues.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and provide proactive advice to the product teams on necessary adjustments or compliance measures.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the successful introduction and growth of insurance products in the market.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance matters related to product development and management.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal issues and regulatory challenges.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in legal support for P&C insurance products, with a strong understanding of insurance regulations and compliance.
• Proven expertise in managing legal aspects of product development and regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and provide strategic legal counsel to support business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide actionable legal solutions.
