Project Manager, Chief of Staff - Consumer and Small Business Legal
As a Manager, Chief of Staff, you’ll join the Chief of Staff team within Consumer & Small Business Legal, focused on delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve efficiency and drive results. You will be a thought leader to and collaborate with passionate leaders regarding team management, engagement, and legal projects.
This work is high-visibility and high-impact. Reporting into the Chief of Staff team, you will work to drive efficiencies, collaboration, innovation and outsized value across the organization. We are looking for a passionate team member who loves diving into ambiguous and challenging problems. You will need to be highly organized and emotionally intelligent to work with our leadership team to drive strategic planning efforts, keep a pulse on team health, morale and engagement, and ensure key team and project priorities are successfully executed. The ideal candidate can connect the dots between good process and great results, effectively influence others to achieve organizational goals, and drive towards purposeful outcomes. Candidates should be self-motivated, with strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for solving complex problems.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage effective, scalable processes to manage our team’s operating rhythms and routines.
- Assist in the creation of and continuous improvement of our management practices for the team and leadership with a high bar for excellence
- Prepare important team communications and ensure readiness of materials to be used in larger team forums
- Develop relationships with direct and extended team members to be able to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner.
- Flex into special legal projects, providing additional support and thought leadership for top of house priorities.
- Drive engagement and inclusion within the team.
A successful candidate will bring:
- Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships and operate in an influential manner with executives to assist in driving a strategic agenda
- High levels of collaboration; has excellent communication skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform and influence outcomes
- Strong judgment, influencing skills, leadership, and integrity
- Strong project management and organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail
- Initiative, high motivation and ability to self-start, and ability to work autonomously
- Proven experience in discretion in handling sensitive or confidential topics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience managing projects which require the ability to develop strategic plans and collaborate with cross-functional team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Masters Degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Ability to function in fast-paced environment with flexibility
- Experience working with Senior Leaders and/or on a Chief of Staff team
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of experience in Relationship Management
