The Opportunity
- We are seeking an innovative Senior Legal Operations Manager to streamline and optimize the Legal Team through strategic deployment of AI and cutting-edge legal technologies and to project manage delivery of transformational projects for our teams and our members. In this critical role, you’ll enhance operational efficiency, automate processes, and serve as a key partner across BetterUp’s dynamic, rapidly scaling organization.
What You’ll Achieve
- AI & Legal Technology Implementation:
- Lead the evaluation, adoption, and implementation of advanced legal technology solutions, emphasizing AI-driven platforms and automation tools to optimize legal workflows.
- Develop strategies to leverage generative AI, contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, e-billing systems, and compliance automation tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Strategic Operations:
- Collaborate with the General Counsel and stakeholders across BetterUp to integrate innovative technology solutions, streamlining workflows and enhancing cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proactively identify and deploy opportunities for process automation and operational improvements within the Legal Department and XFN in particular with Finance and HR.
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Manage and execute legal department projects focused on digital transformation and AI integration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between Legal and Technology teams, advocating for efficient tool adoption and promoting company-wide tech-driven initiatives.
- Develop KPI’s and dashboards to track effectiveness and progress.
- Operational Excellence:
- Establish metrics and analytics to measure and demonstrate the impact of legal technology solutions.
- Provide ongoing training and support to the Legal Team on new AI-powered tools and platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in legal operations or related roles, emphasizing legal technology, AI implementation, and operational automation within a corporate legal environment.
- Proven experience in identifying, implementing, and managing AI-based solutions and legal technology platforms (e.g., CLM, e-billing, compliance automation).
- Deep understanding and passion for AI technology and innovation in legal operations.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills to effectively drive adoption of tech solutions.
- Ability to build consensus and collaboratively implement new technologies across diverse teams.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $97,000 - $152,000.
