What You’ll Do

  • Manage the legal operations team and create, maintain, and drive processes and practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team’s operations
  • Provide regular reporting on workflows, metrics, and efficiency initiatives to all relevant internal partners
  • Identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows and implement best in class technology, systems, and processes, including tools, that align with legal team goals
  • Manage department resources and processes related to matter and workflow management, knowledge management, compliance, document management, and billing management
  • Effectively manage relationships with external vendors
  • Evaluate, select, and implement legal technology solutions that enhance efficiency and enable better data-driven decision-making
  • Partner with subject-matter specialists across the legal department and throughout CK to enable the business to grow and scale accordingly
  • Interface with finance to assist with budget forecasting and ensure complete and timely budgeting for legal expenses, including managing the accrual process, and ensuring legal invoices are paid on a timely basis

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; solid attention to detail
  • Experience in effectively managing a team
  • Experience in law firm pricing strategies and professional services practice management approaches
  • Deep understanding of Legal Software solutions such as Legal Tracker, HighQ, Ironclad, Salesforce, DocuSign, PandaDoc, Jira, Google suite, and Microsoft suite
  • Experience in finance and budgeting, including accounting principles, is a plus

This role is based in our Los Angeles office location and will report to the Deputy General Counsel. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. That’s why all of our teams (except for our field-based roles) are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week.
