Lead Contracts Manager
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Lead Contracts Manager.
This will be a hybrid remote/in-office position that will be located at one of the following facilities: Jackson, MI, Bethel, CT, Beltsville, MD, Glenolden, PA, Rumford, RI, Middlesex, NC or Torrance, CA.
The Lead Contracts Manager is responsible for leading contract management activity for both the commercial and defense aerospace markets, including commercial negotiation, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, contract lifecycle management, warranty and change management. The role reports to the Business Unit Contract Manager and serves as the lead for contracting with assigned aerospace Conveyance product customers, on behalf of Eaton plants and businesses worldwide, with primary work conducted out of the Jackson, MI location.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What You’ll Do
- Provide independent analysis of business/contract issues to support decision making and flows the requirements of the contract to responsible departments, as required.
- Facilitate internal review of agreements and support the commercial execution of contracts. Responsible for maintaining positive customer interactions, proactively ensuring contractual compliance and performance.
- Partner with other functions (Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service) by providing analysis of business/contractual issues to risk mitigation planning and execution.
- Participate in regular business reviews for new and momentum business, including pricing, Statement of Work (SOW) verification, and terms and conditions verification.
- Lead the negotiation of agreements and management/mitigation of significant claims and disputes to provide maximum benefit to the Division.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through effective communication, service standards and using Voice of the Customer to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with all Aerospace, Division, business unit processes and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Communicate status of on-going contractual matters to all levels of the organization.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience working with complex contracts with strong knowledge of contract terms.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Jackson, MI, Bethel, CT, Beltsville, MD, Glenolden, PA, Rumford, RI, Middlesex, NC or Torrance, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience working with complex contracts with strong knowledge of contract terms.
- WCC Certification or NCMA certification.
