Head of Legal

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Head/Manager to join our team, specializing in Business IT Staffing and the Government Sector. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal guidance, oversee compliance, and manage contracts related to IT consulting and government operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the legal department, overseeing legal operations and initiatives related to business IT staffing and government sector contracts.
• Mentor and guide a team of legal professionals, ensuring compliance and best practices.
• Provide legal counsel on IT staffing contracts, compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee all government contracts, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents, aligning with company policies and standards.
• Represent the company in business litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory matters.
• Advise internal stakeholders on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.

Qualifications:

• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree; must be admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in a leadership role, preferably within IT consulting and government sectors.
• Strong experience in IT staffing legal matters and government contracts, with in-depth knowledge of compliance, regulations, and procurement laws.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and review.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred candidate based in Virginia or Maryland area.
