About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Legal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal counsel and guidance to the company, managing and advising on a wide range of legal matters, and leading the development of our legal function.

Responsibilities

​

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the company, including advising on corporate governance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, employment, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and oversee outside counsel, ensuring effective and efficient legal services are provided.
• Develop and implement legal processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead and manage the legal team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Develop and manage the legal budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement company-wide policies and initiatives.
• Stay up to-date with changes in laws and regulations, advising the company on potential impacts and implementing necessary changes.

Requirements

​

• 10+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably in-house.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
