Position Title: Contracts Manager  

Preferred Location: Remote – US  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*  

  • Manages the contracting lifecycle for purchasing within technical operations and clinical groups, ensuring contracting best practices and compliance with applicable policies  
  • Identify key indicators to measure vendor performance and understanding of key drivers of spend and risks  
  • Participate in cross-functional planning across other business functions and initiatives  
  • Proactively coordinate contract approval and review process to ensure timely approval and execution  
  • Recommend scalable process improvements to drive better user experience and self service  
  • Coach and train partner groups on the procurement process  
  • Assist with the development of contracting best practices for continuous improvement  
  • additional duties and responsibilities as assigned  

Qualifications (Education & Experience)  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management or related field preferred and a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience in a contract management role, such as purchasing or contracting; or equivalent education and experience. Advanced degree, preferred.  
  • Experience in applying organizational standards when developing contract requests, negotiating terms  
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.  
  • Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.  
  • Aligns with managers of business operations, including relevant divisions of finance, legal and project development.  
  • Strategic mindset, problem-solving skills and ability to work in a very fast-paced environment  
  • Change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders (e.g., expert model vs. facilitative model)  
  • Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches that have historically “boxed-in” managing contract progress.
