Contracts Manager
Job Description:
SailPoint is currently searching for a talented, self-motivated individual who wants to be a vital part in building a world-class cybersecurity SaaS company. As our Contracts Manager, you will help drive our sales contracting, deal processes and legal systems. As you gain experience, you will take a more direct role in negotiating and closing deals. The right candidate for the job is a natural communicator, organized, intellectually curious, and driven to see things through to completion in a timely and accurate manner.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Direct support to the SailPoint Sales team for all contracting matters
- Coordinating/allocating general contracts requests for the assigned region(s)
- Creating the first agreement draft and negotiating it to completion on SailPoint: Software as a Service terms and Software License terms
- Schedules/Quotations terms to customers
- Partner/Reseller terms
- Statements of Works (professional services)
- Negotiating general agreements (amendments, addendums, etc.) with customers and partners in-line with SailPoint Commercial Policies
- Third Party NDAs/changes requested to SailPoint NDAs
- Partner/Reseller Terms
- Issuing Delivery Notices for all Software and Cloud services orders
- Filing of signed agreements and other various documents
- Negotiating:
- Providing first line responses to contract/legal queries.
- Lead negotiations directly with customers all the way through contract execution
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years working in similar role in a SaaS company and commercial environment
- Working knowledge of and experience in:
- SaaS/Cloud subscription agreements/terms and conditions
- Software licensing agreements/terms and conditions
- Contract negotiations
- Consultancy/professional services agreements, Partner Agreements
- NDAs/Confidentiality Agreements
- Other various contractual agreements (Amendments, addendums, etc.)
- Revenue Recognition matters
- Excellent attention to detail in drafting – methodical, organized and process driven
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to deal with all levels of seniority and to facilitate co-ordination of cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Salesforce and Conga CLM knowledge a plus (training available)
- Ability to manage multiple matters, under pressure and in line with Quarter-End timescales
- Proficient in contract database/management systems
- Ability to work without supervision
- Familiarity with data privacy legislation and industry-standard data processing addendums
- JD degree a plus but not required
The successful candidate will have a strong training plan in place with the following milestone expectations for their training and development:
Within the first month:
You will be trained on internal SailPoint processes and familiarize yourself with our contract management tools. Within 4-7 weeks, you will have become proficient in utilizing Salesforce and our CLM in daily tasks and in coordinating with the various stakeholders involved with your workflow. You will have demonstrated responsiveness and accountability to the region leaders you support.
Within 3 months:
You will have gathered a sufficient understanding of the internal operations of the contracts department and your role to accomplish most of your tasks independently. You will have demonstrated increased accountability in seeing your assigned work to completion.
Within 1 year:
You will have demonstrated a high-level understanding of contracts operations, including the ability to follow the playbook and escalation processes. You will be familiar with the subject matter experts involved in your negotiations and understand where to find the information required to see your contracts to completion. You will have demonstrated accountability, reliability, and progress towards becoming a resource of knowledge within the contracts team.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD): $86,590 - $123,700 - $160,810
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
