Legal.io is working with a leading construction management software company that is seeking a Contracts Manager, Public Sector on a contract-basis, full-time (40 hours per week), for an initial 6 month term.

Work to be done:

  • The Contracts Manager will play a critical role in reviewing Public Sector deals to assist with determining what deals the company is equipped, or unequipped, to bid on upfront.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and direct organization contract compliance for Public Sector contracts, including professional services engagements involving partners.
  • Review and provide input on RFPs regarding legal risk exposure and mitigation
  • Customer-facing contract review, redlining, drafting (with attorney support), and negotiation of a wide range of public sector contracts, data privacy and security agreements, SaaS sales agreements, partner agreements, vendor forms, and other related agreements.
  • Manage initial negotiation escalations and track initial deal concessions.
  • Ensure that contract terms are compliant with relevant business requirements, such as concession approvals, service terms, and revenue recognition rules.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of standard form templates, contract playbooks, escalation processes, sales enablement training and tools, and FAQs as needed.
  • Answer questions about contract templates, executed contracts, advising on contract processes, status updates, and internal policies.
  • Lead or support additional projects as needed, potentially including the ongoing ownership of longer-term programs.
  • Leverage our CLM system, dashboards, and new technologies to manage the contracting process, maintain our contract repository, and report on key contract terms and data to help drive greater efficiency.
  • Shepherd the contracts post-award to ensure organization and partner compliance as applicable.
  • Process contract modifications, amendments, and renewals.
  • Communicating with the organization’s insurance broker to discern appropriateness of customer insurance requests and obtain certificates of insurance for customers.
  • Adherence to internal guidelines and processes.
  • Communicate and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, outside customers, and partners.

  • Duration: 6 Months (with potential to extend) 
  • Location: Remote 
  • Pay Rate: $55 - $75 / hr ($110,000 - $150,000 annualized)
