Position Description

Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate procurement procedures, instituting internal procedures for procurement contracts, and implementing internal procedures related to the purchasing process. This position creates, tracks and monitors requisitions and purchase orders using Procurement Portal (APP) and other agency computer programs. This position reviews and tracks invoices according to established contracts and per the purchasing process. This position advises and assists Client in all areas of contract requirements including training related to financial/ contract management of Client's staff, assisting Client's staff in a variety of contract management activities including development of fee schedules, deliverables, scopes of work, contract monitoring, etc.; Participates in planning, development, and implementation of procedures relevant to contract administration; Assist Client in identifying their contracting needs and methodologies; Serve as interface between Client Managers and Procurement regarding contracting issues and solutions, collaborate with Procurement to monitor contract expiration dates, and establish Purchase Orders. Initiate transactions in the identified system for purchase orders. Collaborate with Client departments to manage the purchase orders throughout the year.

Skills Required:

  • General knowledge of Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, Google Docs
  • Proficient in internet research.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in contracting, ability to research contract information.

Education Required:

  • HS Diploma
