One of our biggest clients across the iGaming industry are seeking a Head of Legal to oversee its global legal operations. This senior management position focuses on providing practical, solution-oriented legal support to all aspects of the business, ensuring the company navigates legal challenges effectively while supporting the business growth and operational goals.

Essential Job Functions / Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Legal Support: Focus on providing practical legal solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Compliance and Operational Support: Offer comprehensive legal support for operations, focusing on pragmatic solutions for license applications.
• Legal Operations Oversight: Oversee all legal aspects of the company’s operations, including corporate affairs, intellectual property management, commercial agreements, and dispute resolution, prioritizing pragmatic and timely solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary legal liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and external counsel.
• Risk Mitigation: Engage in proactive identification and assessment of potential legal risks, implementing measures to minimize exposure and safeguard the company’s interests.
• Legal Team Leadership: Lead a small dynamic team of legal professionals in handling altransactional, corporate, IP, regulatory, and compliance issues, emphasizing efficiency and solution-oriented outcomes.
• Legal Support to Executive Team: Offer direct legal support to the executive team.
• Management of External Legal Services: Efficiently coordinate with external legal counsel ensuring the company receives focused legal support for its global activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

​

• Minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience in a senior legal role, within the sports betting, iGaming, or a related industry.
• Extensive experience dealing with gaming regulatory bodies and a deep understanding of the legal frameworks governing the iGaming industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing legal team in a global setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law, intellectual property, commercial contracts, and compliance.
• Excellent communication abilities, including the capacity to effectively negotiate and advise executives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Licensed to practice law.
